WELKOM OP DE WEBSITE VAN DE KUNSTENAAR AZAD SABER GALERIJ!
Azad Saber was born on January 1, 1968 in Sulaymaniyah, Southern Kurdistan (Iraq). He grew up in an artistic family and became familiar with different art styles from an early age. His first steps in art - world he took under the guidance of his two older brothers Burhan and Aras, who also art - to his and encouraged him. Once he had found his own way and style, he seemed to have the most affinity with a certain form of abstraction. Azad enjoyed a fairly large fame in his country when he still lived there. He made a visible contribution to modern Kurdish art and belonged to the young modern artist generation. He regularly exhibited at home and abroad. At the end of the 90s he came to the Netherlands because he felt hindered by the repressive regime in his country. He currently lives in Finland. For him, art and painting are inextricably linked to freedom. That is not surprising, because his name 'Azad' means 'freedom' in Kurdish. In recent years, Azad has been making relatively small peel rows in acrylic, often polyptychs on one canvas. They contain realistic details in a more abstract environment. Large and small emotions find their form in a poetic visual language, open to interpretation.
